About The Position

ConocoPhillips is seeking a Multi-Skill Operator (MSO), also known as a Lease Operator, for their South Midland Basin area operations. This field-based role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable oil and gas production. The position offers the opportunity to work independently in dynamic outdoor environments, utilizing mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. While oil and gas experience is a plus, it is not required; strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn are highly valued. The company provides training and support for career growth. Requirements

Legally authorized to work in the United States
Current/valid driver’s license
1 or more years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment operation, or inspection
Able to perform the physical demands and work environment requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

1 or more years’ experience in oil and gas production or health, safety, and environmental (HSE) roles
Associate’s degree or trade certification in Production Technology or a related field.
Computer and data entry skills
Responsive to visual and auditory signals, alarms, and instructions

Responsibilities

Perform daily field operations across assigned wells and facilities, monitoring equipment and production performance to ensure safe, reliable flow and timely response to operational needs.
Inspect tanks, meters, separators, compressors, and pipelines to identify and prevent leaks or operational issues.
Gauge tanks to measure crude oil and water levels for safe and efficient transfers.
Operate and troubleshoot compressors, gas lift wells, sand traps, and flowback equipment.
Maintain chemical injection rates and execute well start-up/shut-in procedures.
Enter and validate production data in digital systems to support accurate reporting and decision-making.
Participate in facility walk-throughs, safety reviews, and regulatory documentation.
Update piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and site security documentation.
Respond to alarms and fulfill on-call duties to minimize downtime and resolve field issues.
Apply all safety, environmental, and company policies to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.
