About The Position

The Multi-Site Supervisor will oversee multiple Sow Farm sites and their related personnel. This role is responsible for the day-to-day tasks of the farm, ensuring production targets are met, and supervising farm employees. The supervisor will plan, direct, and coordinate farm activities and staff to meet daily and weekly production goals. Responsibilities include training employees, performing facility audits, maintaining records, managing animal health and safety, controlling costs, and creating employee work schedules. This position does not have hire/fire authority.

Requirements

  • Two years of swine production experience required.
  • Experience overseeing daily swine farm operations and directing the work of farm personnel.
  • Experience following detailed standard operating procedures.
  • Experience training employees on day-to-day processes and developing a competent workforce.
  • Experience ensuring required biosecurity protocols are followed.
  • Experience maintaining animal welfare and the environment.
  • Experience performing audits to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies.
  • Experience creating and managing employee work schedules and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Experience submitting orders for farm supplies and maintenance needs.
  • Experience writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Experience managing animal caretakers.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Daily travel is required to local farms.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise multiple Sow Farm sites and related personnel.
  • Ensure day-to-day tasks of the farm are completed and production targets are met.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate day-to-day farm activities and staff.
  • Train employees on day-to-day processes and procedures.
  • Develop a competent workforce through hands-on training, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Perform audits of the farm to ensure standard operating procedures are followed and facilities are in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, personnel, and supplies.
  • Perform health assessments and work with vet staff on medication.
  • Ensure the health and safety of employees and animals.
  • Submit detailed reports.
  • Track feed and ration staging for animals.
  • Manage all controllable costs (supplies, labor, medication, etc.).
  • Create and manage employee work schedules.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
