Multi-Site EHS Manager II
About The Position

Amazon is seeking a dedicated Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead the Global WHS Program implementation and create the world's safest work environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact associate wellbeing while driving operational excellence. The WHS Manager will combine hands-on safety management with strategic thinking to protect Amazon's people, bridging the gap between safety requirements and operational success. This position requires both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, working closely with Operations leadership to drive safety initiatives. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive risk assessments, analyzing safety data, implementing practical solutions, building relationships, influencing positive change to shape safety culture, leading safety compliance efforts, conducting thorough site audits, analyzing incident trends, managing first aid programs, and emergency response capabilities. The role also involves transforming safety data into actionable insights and engaging associates in the safety mission.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in WHS and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, or service operations
- 3+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management, or 2+ years of Amazon Safety (blue badge/FTE) experience
- Must obtain adult First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 3 weeks of start date (if not already held)
Nice To Haves
- Distribution Center or manufacturing safety experience with mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 250 people
- Master’s degree
- Experience in a fast-paced, changing/growing organization
- Certified Safety Professional
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort collaborating with site leaders
- Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and the use of pivot tables and the development of charts and graphics
- Ability to manage multiple sites/remotely

- Use compelling data analysis and risk insights to influence positive change and drive strategic decision-making
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor who balances safety excellence with operational demands
- Oversee recordkeeping, workplace organization, and WHS training programs
