About The Position

This is a part-time, school-year position for the 2026-2027 school year, working in a public elementary school that follows the school calendar. The role involves working with children in a before and after school program, focusing on creating a fun and welcoming environment, helping children build friendships through games and activities, and being a positive influence.

Requirements

• Enjoys working with school age children
• 18 years or older with an associate’s degree or higher
• Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Comfortable working in a structured school setting
