About The Position

Big Woods Restaurants, a fast-growing Indiana hospitality group, is seeking an experienced Multi-Restaurant Maintenance Manager to support our five locations across the state, including Nashville, IN. We are a well-known local brand with a strong reputation for great food, craft beverages, and exceptional guest experiences. As we continue to expand, we need a skilled facilities leader who can ensure our restaurants remain safe, efficient, and fully operational. The Multi-Restaurant Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repairs, and facility operations across multiple restaurant locations. This role requires strong technical knowledge of building systems, hands-on repair skills, and experience managing maintenance for multi-unit or multi-site operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and able to prioritize maintenance needs to keep all restaurants running smoothly.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • 5+ years of maintenance management experience
  • 2+ years managing maintenance across multiple locations (multi-unit or multi-site)
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and general construction
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen equipment
  • Experience using CMMS or maintenance management software
  • Strong communication and team-building abilities
  • Excellent time-management and prioritization skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and building codes

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Restaurant, hospitality, or food-service maintenance experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily maintenance needs for multiple restaurant locations.
  • Ensure all HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment are functioning properly.
  • Perform hands-on repairs and coordinate larger projects as needed.
  • Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and building systems.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify issues before they impact operations.
  • Schedule and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate pricing, review proposals, and ensure timely, high-quality work.
  • Develop and manage maintenance budgets for all locations.
  • Track expenses, control costs, and maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for urgent repairs and equipment breakdowns.
  • Respond quickly to minimize downtime and operational disruption.
  • Ensure all restaurants meet local, state, and federal safety, health, and fire regulations.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Lead, train, and support in-house maintenance staff.
  • Set performance expectations and ensure high-quality work standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inspections, and equipment logs.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on facility conditions and improvement needs.
  • Work closely with restaurant managers to understand maintenance priorities.
  • Support upgrades and improvements that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency.
