About The Position

The Multi-Purpose Aide will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment for children placed into his/her care. The position requires promoting the Kanza Child Care Center (KCCC) in a positive way to parents and the community. This role involves providing classroom management, assisting with daily tasks, and ensuring the cleanliness of the facilities. The aide will also be responsible for driving a van for pickups and field trips, managing supply inventory, and being flexible in duties.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass accreditation (no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions for offenses relating to children).
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Must be insurable.
Must submit to an employment drug screen post hire.

Responsibilities

Maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment for children.
Promoting the Kanza Child Care Center (KCCC) in a positive way to parents and the community.
Providing classroom management while main teachers are away.
Doing laundry as needed and keeping the laundry room clean.
Covering for teachers who are absent, on lunch, and/or on break.
Maintaining client confidentiality.
Attending local, state, regional and national childcare meetings/training when deemed appropriate.
Helping to keep both buildings (School Age & Daycare) clean, including bathrooms, entryways, common areas, kitchen, and laundry rooms.
Helping in all classrooms when and where needed.
Driving a van when needed, picking up students after school, and/or during field trips.
Keeping inventory of supplies in laundry rooms and giving orders to Supervisor when running low.
Being flexible in duties.
Completing any other duties as assigned by the immediate or controlling supervisor.
