The primary responsibility of a multi-modality technologist is to perform any two combination of procedures with related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by, and at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. This role involves operating equipment, understanding workflows, and ensuring patient safety across two imaging modalities. The technologist will also be responsible for obtaining patient history, applying safety principles, providing radiation protection, verifying patient identification, and potentially performing venipuncture, administering medications/contrast, and using a power injector. On-call duties may also be required.
