About The Position
Multi-modality technologist provides quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities. Technologists must be able to effectively explain the procedures to the patient and be sure they are competent in the procedure being performed. Technologists must produce images for the interpretation, and or request of, a licensed practitioner.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Two years of radiologic experience in two or more modalities.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association in both Radiography & CT.
- Able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision.
- Able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiar with age specific criteria.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required (AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or equivalent, or American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider).
- ARRT Advanced Modality Registration.
- Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).

- Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
Responsibilities
- Provides quality imaging and patient care within two or more imaging modalities.
- Effectively explains procedures to the patient.
- Ensures competence in the procedure being performed.
- Produces images for interpretation or request of a licensed practitioner.
- Proactively maintains and renews ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training.
