About The Position

This position will lead the advertising sales efforts for AMM of the Chesapeake in the Dundalk to Elkton region of Maryland. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess effective presentation skills, creativity, strategic thinking, idea generation, and good oral and written comprehension. You will drive your team to sales success and will also have direct selling efforts. A strong work ethic and willingness to lead by example are essential.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of experience in the media industry (preferred).
  • At least two years of successful sales management experience.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite.
  • Ability to learn other relevant software programs and teach direct reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific management experience in Retail Sales, Digital Sales and Inside Sales is a plus.
  • Experience working in small markets will be beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the advertising strategy, both from a business, sales and technical perspective.
  • Assist with the budget development and projections for advertising.
  • Develop and implement a plan of action to grow digital revenue.
  • Motivate staff in weekly team meetings and one-on-one sessions.
  • Engage in direct selling efforts weekly.
  • Support and manage KPIs, field rides, one-on-one meetings, team meetings, group meetings, and learning segments.
  • Spend 70% of time in the business community, training staff and creating optimal solutions for area businesses.
  • Represent the brand at local community events after hours when needed.
  • Provide vacation and illness relief for direct reports.
