About The Position

The Star Democrat, a trusted multimedia news and advertising source for Maryland's Eastern Shore, is seeking a driven, digitally savvy sales professional to join their team as a Multimedia Account Executive. This is a full-time, in-person role based in La Plata, Maryland. This position is not a desk job; it requires a self-starter who builds their own book of business, earns trust with local and regional clients, and designs advertising strategies that deliver results. The role involves handling a selection of products, including many digital options, and requires strong communication skills. Adams MultiMedia (AMM) is a growing, community-focused media organization operating in 20 states, connecting local businesses with audiences through smart digital strategy and traditional media.

Requirements

2+ years of sales experience
Experience working in a CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and managing a pipeline
Natural communicator — confident in presentations, sharp in negotiations
Self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding, but thrives in a team environment

Nice To Haves

Digital advertising sales experience
Can talk SEM, SEO, ROAS, CPC, and programmatic without breaking a sweat
Google Ads or Analytics certified

Responsibilities

Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting to close
Prospect and close new business with a digital-first mindset (SEM/PPC, SEO, Social Media, Display, Video, OTT/CTV) and a print option
Conduct in-depth needs assessments to uncover what clients really need — then build campaigns that deliver
Act as a trusted advisor: regularly share performance data, optimize campaigns, and deepen client relationships
Collaborate with our internal team to craft compelling, data-backed proposals
Hit (and exceed) revenue targets
