About The Position

GEICO is seeking a motivated and service-oriented individual to join their Multi-line Property Damage team as a Multi-line Property Damage Trainee. This role involves working in a dynamic environment, potentially including repair shops, salvage yards, customer homes, or virtual estimating. The trainee will be responsible for inspecting damage, estimating repair costs, negotiating settlements, issuing payments, and providing excellent customer service, with a primary focus on servicing boat, motorcycle, RV, and other specialty claims. GEICO offers industry-leading, paid training, including a 3-week hands-on experience at their Ashburn, VA facility, to equip trainees with the necessary skills for physical damage adjusting and assisting customers after accidents or disasters.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license (must meet company underwriting guidelines) and the ability to maintain applicable state and federal certifications and permits
Willingness to be flexible with primary work location – position may require either remote or field work
Solid computer, mechanical aptitude, and multi-tasking skills
Effective attention to detail and decision-making skills
Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and willingness to expand on these abilities
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
