About The Position

The Fire Protection Technician is responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on fire extinguishers and/or fire alarm systems in residential and commercial spaces. The position is located out of the Austin, Texas district office.

Requirements

• Fire extinguisher and fire alarm experience.
• FEL-A, FEL-B, or FEL-K license in the State of Texas.
• FAL license in the State of Texas.
• Understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and/or annual inspections and preventive maintenance services on fire extinguishers of various sizes.
• Repair, replace, fill, and tag fire extinguishers.
• Service and test fire extinguishers and fire alarm systems.
• Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
• Work independently and use provided personal protective equipment.
