About The Position

The Multi-Craft Mechanic safely performs mechanical and electrical maintenance activities to ensure proper operation of plant machinery, equipment, buildings, and grounds to increase reliability and overall quality of production. The current schedule for this role is day shift, Monday through Friday. Occasionally, overtime work is required to include nights, weekends, holidays, and call-ins. The starting hourly wage is $36.05 per hour.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must have a minimum of five years of work experience in a related maintenance craft such as Industrial Mechanic, Welder, Pipefitter, Millwright, Electrician, or E&I Tech
  • Ability to contribute to Root Cause Failure analysis reviews
  • Ability to read and interpret various directives that may be presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format such as safety rules, operating instructions, drawings, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
  • Must have the ability to meet the physical demands of the position including but not limited to working at elevated heights, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or comparable ERP such as SAP is preferred
  • Related technical certificate(s) and/or Associate’s degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of NFPA70E rules and regulations for electrical safety is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Repairs and replaces PLC equipment, tanks, pumps, motors, heat exchangers, agitators, boilers, air compressors, valves, pipelines, and other plant equipment
  • Fabricates and welds piping, pipe fittings, equipment, and machinery
  • Conducts preventative and predictive maintenance tasks
  • Troubleshoots issues with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
  • Performs laser alignments, vibration analysis; lubricate machinery, pumps, motors, agitators, etc.
  • Repairs fire and safety alarms and systems as needed
  • Assists E&I technicians when needed
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned
