What you will do Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic, lubrication systems, conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, pumps, plumbing, and related controls). Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic control systems, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, relays, sensors, and VFDs; interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. Install, commission, and test new equipment; participate in equipment upgrades, line changes, and process improvements. Adjust, align, and calibrate machinery for optimal performance; perform vibration analysis, oil sampling, and other condition-monitoring tasks as needed. Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems; service pumps, valves, cylinders, actuators, and related components. Fabricate, weld, and assemble components as required; perform minor machining or modifications using appropriate tools. Maintain spare parts inventories, prepare work orders, and document all work performed in the CMMS/ERP system. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of equipment failures. Support safety programs, lockout/tagout (LOTO), energy isolation procedures, and incident investigations. Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations. On-call rotation and overtime as required by production needs and to meet maintenance goals. What you need to succeed Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or completion of an accredited technical/trade program preferred. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; multi-craft experience across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic, CNC, and controls preferred. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to perform root cause analysis. Effective communication and teamwork; ability to work with team members, operators, engineers, and managers. Self-motivated, with strong organizational and time-management skills. Adaptability to changing priorities and emergency maintenance needs. Commitment to safety and quality standards. Certifications/Licenses: Relevant trade certifications (e.g., electrical, mechanical, millwright) preferred. Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) certification or willingness to obtain. OSHA General Industry or equivalent preferred. PLC/SCADA training or experience (optional but highly valued). Forklift or other site-specific certifications may be required. Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine components (bearings, gearboxes, belts, conveyors, pumps). Electrical knowledge including troubleshooting motors, starters, wiring, electrical panels, and control circuits. Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Exposure/familiarity with CNC and robot equipment similar to ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa, HURCO, DAEWOO, MURATA is desired. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and electrical drawings. Basic programming/ Troubleshooting of PLCs or HMI systems is a plus. Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeter, insulation tester, infrared thermometer, vibration meter) and hand tools. Experience with CMMS/ERP systems for work orders and maintenance history. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods: lift up to 50 pounds, stand, kneel, bend, twist, reach, and climb ladders or stairs. Work in a noisy, dusty, hot/cold, industrial facility with moving machinery and electrical hazards. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, gloves, etc.). Availability for on-call coverage and occasional overtime or weekend work to support production.
