About The Position

Ameron Pole Products, a subsidiary of Arcosa, Inc., has over 50 years of experience in providing pre-stressed, spun-cast concrete and round tapered steel poles for commercial & industrial, transportation (DOT), municipal, intermodal & utility markets. They are looking for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician for their 2nd shift operations.

Requirements

  • Experience with blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment.
  • Experience with plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Experience with high voltage electrical repairs (controls, relays).
  • Experience installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Experience making electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on computer-controlled equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronically controlled production equipment.
  • Experience fabricating and installing new equipment.
  • Experience maintaining machinery according to Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Experience maintaining a critical spare parts inventory.
  • Experience performing regular inspections on cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge of all safety rules and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
  • Perform high voltage electrical repairs (controls, relays).
  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and test equipment.
  • Make electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on computer-controlled equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electronically controlled production equipment.
  • Fabricate and install new equipment and coordinate with contractors as necessary.
  • Maintain machinery according to the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Maintain a critical spare parts inventory.
  • Perform regular inspections on cranes and lifting equipment per Ameron and Arcosa standards.
  • Follow all safety rules and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
