Growth opportunities are available. As an Electro-Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining A/C and D/C motor control equipment, installing conduit and wiring professionally. You will stay current with ladder logic and instrumentation diagrams, maintain and understand process control loops, and troubleshoot combustion equipment. Additionally, you will install PLC and computer-based control systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain current OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle operator license.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience with mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Must have exhibited excellent attendance in prior work history and be committed to maintaining such attendance.
  • Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
  • Accurately count and perform basic math functions, including mental calculation of simple equations and/or fractions.
  • Must be able to sufficiently read, write, and understand English.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including reading and interpreting electrical schematics and diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, including but not limited to motors, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to efficiently restore equipment and systems to working order.
  • Execute planned preventive maintenance activities to reduce equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal functionality.
  • Safely work with electrical systems, including wiring, controls, and electronic components, while adhering to regulations and standards.
  • Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, such as gearboxes, bearings, belts, and pumps.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, spare parts inventory, and equipment history.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address maintenance needs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and minimize downtime.
  • Be available for on-call duties and respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Drive the highest levels of employee retention and engagement to ensure a sustainable workforce.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.
