About The Position

Milwaukee Valve Company is looking for a Multi Craft II to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 270. This role involves performing maintenance work on all plant equipment, including minor electrical repairs, maintaining machines, assembly equipment, heating systems, compressors, and plumbing. The position requires knowledge of various trade fundamentals for general machine and plant repairs, operation of power tools, welders, torches, and maintenance shop machinery. Responsibilities also include rebuilding or fabricating parts, performing scheduled duties, maintaining a clean and safe work area, understanding blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, technical manuals, and machine parts drawings. The role requires the ability to work in various plant environments, troubleshoot PLC controls, machine controls, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics, install and remove equipment, drive forklifts, and communicate effectively with shop personnel. Work is subject to final inspection, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

One year certificate from college or technical school; or 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competency in quality, quantity, safety and security, attendance/punctuality, and dependability.
Ability to observe safety and security procedures, determine appropriate action beyond guidelines, report potentially unsafe conditions, and use equipment and materials properly.
Ability to be consistently at work and on time.
Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and take responsibility for own actions.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, blood test, physical capabilities test, and background check, all with acceptable results.
Ability to schedule and complete the required drug screen, blood test, and physical capabilities test within 7 calendar days of offer acceptance.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with all general machine and plant repairs.
Good knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, technical manuals, and machine parts drawings.
Troubleshooting and working knowledge of PLC controls, machine controls, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Basic knowledge of CNC G code & various Conversational controls.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance work on all plant equipment, including minor electrical repairs; maintain machines, maintain all assembly equipment, heating systems, compressors, plumbing, etc.
Have the required knowledge of various trade fundamentals sufficient to deal with all general machine and plant repairs.
Operate and use of various types of power tools, including but not limited to hand tools, welders, torches and other various types of maintenance shop machinery.
Rebuild or fabricate parts for various types of machinery and plant equipment.
Responsible for performing duties specified in the schedule as per instructions from supervisor.
Work areas and equipment thru-out the shop must be maintained in a clean, safe and orderly condition on a daily basic.
Should have good knowledge of blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, technical manuals, and machine parts drawings.
Must be able to work in all types of working conditions typically found in plant environments.
Troubleshoot and working knowledge of PLC controls, machine controls, mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Able to install new equipment and remove old equipment from various shop areas.
Must be able to drive forklift and other types of equipment.
Assist other maintenance personnel when required.
Have some basic knowledge of CNC G code & various Conversational controls.
Must be able to communicate with all shop personnel.
Work is subject to final inspection.
