About The Position

G.W. Becker, Inc. (GWBI) is looking for a Multi-Craft Field Service Technician Levels 3-5. This position requires 4 to 5 years' experience in electrical and mechanical. This is a travel position with the majority of travel being within 200 miles. The Multi-Craft Level 3-5 Crane Technician will be responsible for applying the Electrical and Mechanical trade skill set in the installing, maintaining, repairing, and operating overhead cranes and hoists.

Requirements

Requires 4 to 5 years electrical and mechanical skills.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.
OSHA 10 required
Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
As a condition of employment for this position, you must be able to pass a random drug screen at the request of GWBI or our customers. This includes testing for marijuana, regardless of whether you have a medical card or not.

Nice To Haves

Welding, fabrication, layout, burning, fitting, and rigging experience are a huge plus.
Experience with overhead cranes is desirable.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair and inspect overhead cranes and hoists.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs for customers.
Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; and recommending system improvements.
Service overhead crane systems by performing quality installations; performing OSHA/ANSI equivalent inspections; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; and responding to repair calls.
Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports and inspection checklists.
Builds and maintains customer confidence by maintaining good response time, informing customer of problems and completing the job in a timely manner.
Maintain professional presentation, timeliness, appearance and organization in all areas.
