Multi-Cloud Infrastructure Administrator (onsite)
About The Position
Our client is filling this contract position exclusively through approved staffing partners, so this opportunity is not available by applying directly with the client. If you're interested, we'd be happy to represent you throughout the hiring process. This is a temporary project estimated to last 12+ months with possible extensions. The role requires 100% of the time to be spent at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL. No telecommuting or remote work is allowed, and candidates must be able to relocate as required. The position involves supporting and expanding the client's infrastructure, coordinating server configurations, recommending upgrades, monitoring systems for security, availability, and performance, establishing systems by evaluating network performance, and maintaining network and systems performance through monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Additionally, the role includes creating and managing Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
Requirements
- Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Tallahassee, FL
- Experience with Windows Server administration (Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, 2022) (2+ years)
- Experience with IIS administration (2+ years)
- Experience with network communications, including TCP/IP, DNS, Samba/CIFS file sharing, and NTFS permissions (2+ years)
- Experience with AWS cloud systems (2+ years)
- Experience with IT infrastructure and network systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration (3+ years)
- IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration (3+ years)
- Experience with information systems engineering or a related field (5+ years)
- Experience with Linux administration (Red Hat and Ubuntu), including Linux patching
- Experience with networking principles and cloud-based network architectures
- Experience with system administration, hosting, and automating administrative tasks across a wide range of solutions
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud systems (2+ years)
- Experience with other cloud providers, such as GCP (2+ years)
- Experience with administration of Microsoft software (2+ years)
- Experience with middleware, including API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services (3+ years)
Responsibilities
- Support and expand the Client’s infrastructure
- Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple stakeholders
- Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades
- Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance
- Establish systems by evaluating network performance, executing selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment, and defining network policies and firewalls
- Maintain network and systems performance through monitoring, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines
