About The Position

Teaching preschool at Chesterbrook Academy offers teachers the opportunity to create and cultivate a purposeful learning experience for young students. Teachers are encouraged to be creative and intentional when developing activities and have the professional freedom to make instructional decisions based on students' interests and needs. Teachers collaborate and build relationships with fellow staff members, school administration, families, and the community.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; or a completed CDA in Infant/Toddler; or at least 30 hours of college credit, including at least 6 hours in ECE, Child Development, or a related field, and 1 year of previous experience working in a licensed child care facility.
• Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
• Compliance with all state education and licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop classroom resources and a physical environment that support students and their learning.
• Collaborate with other school teams to positively impact the student experience.
• Communicate with parents to support student achievement.
