Multi Classroom Preschool Teacher
About The Position
The Multi-Classroom Teacher provides day-to-day instructional support across multiple Early Preschool and Pre-K classrooms at the Stratford School campus. The role involves reporting to the campus daily for assignments based on coverage needs. In addition to classroom teaching, responsibilities may include general student supervision or assisting the Principal with campus operations. This position is crucial for maintaining instructional continuity and a safe, nurturing environment for students. It is designed as a developmental role to prepare candidates for a future Classroom Teacher position, with the expectation that individuals will actively work towards and be prepared for placement in a Classroom Teacher role as openings arise.
Requirements
- 12 completed ECE semester units (or 18 quarter units), including coursework in: Child Growth and Development, Child, Family, and Community, Program/Curriculum
- OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Child Development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Professional, dependable, and flexible
- Passion for working with young children
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a preschool setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom coverage in Early Preschool–Pre-K as needed
- Follow established lesson plans or create new ones for long-term assignments
- Supervise and engage children to ensure their safety and well-being
- Support daily classroom routines, including nap and snack times
- Assist with toileting and diaper changing as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Communicate professionally with students, staff, and families
- Assist with administrative or campus-wide support tasks as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
