Multi‑Axis Mill/Turn Operator–Setter (Medical Manufacturing)
About The Position
Build better instruments. Build your craft. Join our Akron, OH team on 3rd shift and help produce precision medical instruments and implants on state‑of‑the-art mill/turn equipment. We’re looking for a pro who thrives on set‑ups, runs independently, and keeps quality at the forefront. Role focus Operate multiple CNC mill/turn machines autonomously Own complete setups: workholding, tooling, offsets, and verification Perform change‑overs and tool size changes to support varying product mixes Set tooling across all machine types within your assigned zone Maintain part quality: deburr and perform in‑process inspection with appropriate gauges and tools Document work with accuracy: job traveler, I.P. sheets, and the First Piece Log Stay proactive with daily preventative maintenance
Requirements
- 2+ years operating CNC machinery
- Advanced print reading abilities
- Advanced GD&T understanding
- Demonstrated CNC setup experience
- Team‑first mindset
- GD&T application in production
- CNC tooling knowledge
- Setup and changeover of CNC equipment
- Efficient setups for production runs
Responsibilities
