About The Position

Join Lockheed Martin's dynamic team working on the cutting edge of aerospace technology. We provide training systems for the world's most advanced aircraft, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. As an Integrated Engineering Manager, you will serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead with L-code responsibility for a diverse, multi-disciplinary team that develops innovative training and logistics solutions across multiple F-35 programs and projects. This team is comprised of talent team members with expertise in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Integration & Test, Configuration & Data Management and Infrastructure. You will be a leader of leaders with overall responsibility and accountability for program performance of an IPT that heavily focuses on F35 Labs and Device Standup. You will coordinate activities across Integrated Engineering, Cyber, Security, and Lab Ops, and ensure the integrity of engineering activity by employing both quantitative and qualitative management approaches and compliance with Command Media. You will collect and use data to make data-driven decisions. You will manage all aspects of the team's performance, including facilitating corrective action, monitoring staffing demand, ensuring sufficient supply, and facilitating the personal and career development of team members. You will champion continuous improvement activities, identify opportunities to employ tools and practices that increase team efficiency and quality, and champion the automation of manual processes in the spirit of Digital Transformation, developing and communicating automation strategies that facilitate adoption at all levels within the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline or related discipline
  • Must possess, or have ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing the critical skills of others
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to Build Effective Relationships
  • Experience working collaboratively with Program Management, Finance and Contracts organizations
  • Experience applying the Vee Process Model to fully develop and integrate a complex system
  • Understanding of DevSecOps Practices inclusive of Agile Product Development leveraging Scrum & Kanban
  • Demonstrated ability and desire to automate manual, time-consuming tasks
  • Thorough understanding of program, functional, and process metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Integrating Complex Systems, Systems Engineering, and Model-Based Engineering (MBE) processes, principles and tools
  • Advanced degree in Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Management
  • SAFe Training/Certification, RMS SAM Training/Certification or other Recognized Agile Certification
  • Control Account Management (CAM) experience within past 5 years
  • Capture Experience including authoring proposals
  • 12 years or more of professional experience with 4 or more years of experience as a Manager
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Experience working on both domestic and international firm fixed price contracts
  • Experience leading cross-functional product development teams
  • Experience leading a team through change
