We are seeking a MuleSoft Integration Developer to support a federal government contract, ensuring mission success through technical expertise, professionalism, and innovation. We are seeking a MuleSoft Integration Developer to support the design, development, and delivery of API-led integration solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment. This role works closely with senior developers and architects to translate business requirements into reliable, secure integrations using MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform. The Mid-Level MuleSoft Developer is responsible for contributing to solution design and owning the design and implementation of individual components, services, and APIs, while aligning with solution direction defined by senior developers and architects. This role operates independently on moderately complex tasks and plays a key role in delivering high-quality integration solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 3+ years of MuleSoft or integration development experience, OR Associate’s degree + 5+ years of integration development experience (including MuleSoft exposure), OR High School Diploma/GED + 7+ years of integration development experience (including MuleSoft exposure)
  • Experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio preferred)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and common integration patterns
  • Experience with DataWeave for data transformation
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and deployment processes
  • Understanding of API security fundamentals (e.g., OAuth, basic authentication)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment

Nice To Haves

  • MuleSoft Certified Developer (or working toward certification)
  • Experience with Salesforce integrations
  • Exposure to federal government environments or compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Copado)
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to solution design by collaborating with senior developers and architects to define integration approaches and technical solutions.
  • Design and implement APIs, integration flows, and services for moderately complex use cases, following established architecture patterns and standards.
  • Translate business requirements into user stories, technical tasks, and well-structured integration components.
  • Apply standard integration patterns, API design principles, and MuleSoft best practices in development work.
  • Develop and manage APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (Anypoint Studio, Exchange, Runtime Manager, API Manager).
  • Perform data mapping and transformation using DataWeave.
  • Support implementation of security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining code quality and consistency.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and support deployment activities across environments.
  • Assist with monitoring, logging, and performance tuning of MuleSoft applications.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support for integrations in development and production environments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, including integration flows and deployment procedures.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
  • Present work during sprint demos and collaborate with team members on continuous improvement.
  • Identify risks or blockers and escalate appropriately to senior team members.
