About The Position

iWorks Corporation is seeking MuleSoft Developers/Platform Engineers to support current and future federal government programs. This is a contingent position supporting anticipated contract opportunities. The successful candidate may support the MuleSoft environment at varying levels depending on experience, ranging from hands-on MuleSoft development and platform administration to senior-level platform engineering and architecture. The ideal candidate will have experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (PCE), including platform deployment, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, security, monitoring, and/or application deployment.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship - Clearable
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Experience with Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (PCE).
  • Experience with relevant platform technologies, including Linux, Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, Git, automation, networking, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with MuleSoft technologies such as Mule Runtime 4.x, Anypoint Studio, API-led connectivity, DataWeave, APIs, and Mule flows, as applicable to the role.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience administering or supporting MuleSoft PCE and Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Experience with platform upgrades, migrations, high availability, monitoring, infrastructure automation, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience with tools such as Docker, Helm, Jenkins, Maven, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies.
  • Experience supporting federal, DoD, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Relevant MuleSoft certifications, including Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Developer, MuleSoft Developer II, MuleSoft Platform Architect, or MuleSoft Platform Integration Architect, appropriate to experience level.
  • Salesforce Certified MuleSoft Integration Foundations for junior-level candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot MuleSoft Anypoint Platform Private Cloud Edition (PCE) environments.
  • Support PCE installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and platform lifecycle management.
  • Deploy and manage MuleSoft applications and APIs across multiple environments.
  • Support underlying platform infrastructure, including Linux, Kubernetes, containers, networking, storage, and certificates.
  • Monitor platform health, performance, logs, and operational metrics while troubleshooting platform and connectivity issues.
  • Support automation and CI/CD processes using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, Terraform, Ansible, Helm, or similar technologies.
  • Manage platform security, including certificates, secrets, access controls, authentication, and encryption.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, DevOps, cybersecurity teams, and stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable integration solutions.
  • Support high availability, disaster recovery, platform upgrades, migrations, and release management activities.
  • Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures while ensuring compliance with security and DevSecOps requirements.
