About The Position

New York Life is seeking a MuleSoft Architect to design, develop, and deploy enterprise applications using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role involves architecting and implementing scalable and secure integration solutions following Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and API-driven methodologies. The architect will drive the development of RESTful and SOAP-based APIs, establish CI/CD pipelines, and set up API monitoring and analytics. Collaboration with stakeholders, implementation of security best practices, and management of AnyPoint Platform environments are key responsibilities. The position also involves coordinating API management strategies and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a MuleSoft Architect or related occupation designing and deploying enterprise integrations and APIs using MuleSoft, enabling CI/CD, Acord data mapping, monitoring, and alignment with business goals.
  • Designing and architecting integration solutions using MuleSoft and coordinating end-to-end API life cycle management.
  • Establishing API governance security policies and standards for API development and cloud architecture including OAuth, JWT and AWS IAM.
  • Architecting and deploying cloud-native solutions using AWS services Amazon S3, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Amazon managed streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).
  • Developing MuleSoft API using DataWeave, SFTP, IBM MQ, Anypoint MQ, Kafka and API policy enforcement to orchestrate secure, reliable data exchange.
  • Setting up CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications for both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Utilizing programming languages Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML, and Spring Boot to develop applications.
  • Using ACORD data mapping design and data structures for insurance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy enterprise applications using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and related technologies.
  • Architect and implement scalable and secure integration solutions following Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and API-driven methodologies.
  • Drive the development of RESTful and SOAP-based APIs and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Establish Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and Maven to support seamless application deployment.
  • Set up and optimize API monitoring, logging, and analytics tools, including SUMO Logic and Splunk.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analyses, and develop architectural designs.
  • Implement security best practices, including CyberArk Conjur integration and LDAP/Client ID enforcement policies.
  • Develop and monitor AnyPoint Platform environments (CloudHub, RTF) and Virtual Port Channel (vPC) configurations.
  • Coordinate API management strategies using tools like API Designers, API Exchange, and Cloud API Gateway.
