About The Position

Premier Enterprise Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior MuleSoft Administrator to lead the administration, governance, security, and operational management of the enterprise MuleSoft Anypoint Platform supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of enterprise integration services while enabling API-led connectivity across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for platform administration, API governance, cloud integration, disaster recovery, and performance optimization while partnering closely with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to support mission-critical integration initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 10 years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years administering MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong experience with Mule 4.x
  • Strong experience with CloudHub
  • Strong experience with Runtime Fabric (RTF)
  • Strong experience with API Manager
  • Strong experience with Runtime Manager

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain MuleSoft Anypoint Platform components.
  • Manage CloudHub 1.0/2.0, Runtime Fabric (RTF), and hybrid/on-premises Mule runtime environments.
  • Administer Anypoint Runtime Manager, API Manager, Exchange, MQ, and Anypoint Monitoring.
  • Manage business groups, environments, RBAC, and platform lifecycle activities.
  • Implement enterprise API governance standards and lifecycle management.
  • Configure API Gateway policies including OAuth 2.0, JWT validation, Client ID enforcement, TLS/mTLS, and rate limiting.
  • Manage SSO/SAML integrations with Azure AD, Okta, and enterprise identity providers.
  • Ensure compliance with VA security requirements and enterprise governance policies.
  • Administer secure connectivity across Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments.
  • Manage VPCs, VPNs, Dedicated Load Balancers, Runtime Fabric networking, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Support Azure Key Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, and enterprise observability platforms.
  • Monitor platform health using Anypoint Monitoring, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, and enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and high availability configuration.
  • Lead production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Automate operational tasks using Anypoint CLI, Platform APIs, Python, and Shell scripting.
  • Support automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, and Maven.
  • Partner with development teams to promote API-led connectivity and reusable integration assets.
  • Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and platform standards.
