About The Position

The night-shift Mule Driver is responsible for safely and efficiently operating the mule in order to move cargo and perform other tasks as needed in accordance with workload. The driver is responsible for practicing safe work habits and for maintaining a clean and safe work place environment.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid DL, CDL preferred
  • Must be able to perform the duties of this role in all weather conditions
  • Employee must be authorized to work in the United States, obtain a port ID, and TWIC license.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operating mule in order to move cargo to and from the shipyard in accordance with Sun Terminals policies
  • Able to receive, understand, and execute instructions via radio in order to accommodate logistical needs
  • Must possess excellent driving skills in order to perform the duties of this role in a safe, efficient, and timely manner
  • Safely securing equipment at the end of the shift in compliance with established practice and procedures set by Sun Terminals
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and safety checks in order to maintain mule operational and within safety guidelines
  • Communicates professionally with team members, supervisors, and customers.
  • Actively participates in safety or educational training as required
  • Follows all safety standards & guidelines, including but not limited to, wearing of safety glasses, wearing of steel-toed/safety shoes, appropriate safety gloves as needed, and proper attire
  • Performs any other management requests or directives as requested
