About The Position

The MTR Associate, 2nd Shift is responsible for handling all operational processes from start to finish for orders that don’t fall within our everyday order protocol. This includes picking material, picking pipes, checking, and processing MTRs as needed. MTRs are Material Test Reports which tells the customer exactly what material they received, where it came from, how it was manufactured, and confirms that it meets industry specifications. Individuals will be cross trained to perform all these functions. The MTR Associate, 2nd Shift provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture. Requirements

  • Requires intermediate computer skills (web search, Microsoft Office, Xerox).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
  • Proficient in English for business communication
  • Complete understanding of the picking, checking, packing, and MTR processes.
  • Must be able to safely operate the overhead crane.
  • Requires the safe operation of sit-down/ stand-up forklifts
  • Able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position

Responsibilities

  • Gather material fittings using a forklift, standup order picker and cart.
  • Double check order material and quantities as needed.
  • Packing or labeling material safely and according to customer requests.
  • Process MTRs for pipe/fittings that require them.
  • Pick pipe using an overhead crane.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, as well as continuous quality improvement objectives.
  • Adhere to all company safety rules, standards, and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
