About The Position

The MTBI Co-op will assist in the development and implementation of mechanical assembly policies and procedures. They will liaise directly with the Production Lead to ensure project tasks are met on schedule, while adhering to Eclipse safety policies and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma or equivalent program.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
  • Must provide MVR driving record
  • A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Students should be enrolled in a post-secondary academic program requiring a co-op/work term.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble parts using various hand tools in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Able to use overhead cranes, forklifts and scissor lifts
  • Comfortable with work at heights
  • Read and interpret drawings, machine-tool build assembly drawings
  • Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
  • Complete other duties and projects assigned
  • Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings.
  • Able to receive and carry out instructions with the intent of learning new skills.
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and assist in promoting a safe work culture.
  • Use proper time management and complete tasks in an appropriate manner
  • Adhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy
  • Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines
  • Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code
  • Foster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business
  • Travel to customer location to support service and install teams
