MTA Field Inspectors - Senior and Regular

SRE Engineering is seeking experienced Field Inspectors and Senior Field Inspectors to support active transit infrastructure work within the MTA system. Candidates must have hands-on MTA construction inspection experience and be ready to mobilize quickly. About us: Building with purpose, crafting with excellence. Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of field inspection experience on MTA C&D, NYCT, or MTA-agency construction projects
- Familiarity with MTA construction procedures, PMGs, and Unifier document management
- OSHA-30 required
- Track safety training
- Flexibility for nights, weekends, and GO windows
- Strong written documentation skills
Nice To Haves
- ADA, structural, civil, architectural, or mechanical inspection experience preferred
- Chapter 17 Special Inspection credentials a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Perform daily field inspections and prepare reports per MTA standards
- Monitor contractor compliance with contract documents, safety, and quality requirements
- Document daily construction activity including field reports, photos, and logs (Unifier experience a plus)
- Attend hold point inspections and coordinate with MTA C&D staff
- Support General Order (GO) coverage including nights and weekends as required
- Coordinate with flaggers, maintainers, and railroad-supplied services in active rail environments
- Assist with punch lists, substantial completion walkthroughs, and closeout documentation
