About The Position

The MT/PT Inspector performs nondestructive testing (NDT), including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and limited Visual Inspection (VT), on new-construction submarines, aircraft carriers, and fleet support work. The role requires testing and obtaining certifications in nondestructive testing in accordance with applicable regulations. Inspectors evaluate welds for acceptance or rejection using applicable procedures, ensure drawing and procedure requirements are met before and during inspections, and document inspection results and dispositions. The position also involves minor weld grinding with pneumatic tools.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work the assigned shift as production needs require.
Ability to work at extreme heights.
Ability to work in small, tight, or confined spaces.
U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Nice To Haves

Technical experience and/or education.
Upper-level math skills, including Algebra 2 or higher.
Ability to read blueprints.
