We are seeking a highly skilled and driven MSP Project Engineer to join our team. As a MSP Project Engineer you will join our team and lead the implementation of client-facing technical projects across the New York City area. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced MSP environment, is comfortable working on-site with clients, and has a deep understanding of multi-tenant support, project execution, and modern IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and upgrading systems across a wide range of client environments. Your work as a MSP Project Engineer has several components: Function as a hands-on, technical element of client project delivery, including but not limited to: Client onboardings and offboardings Network installations and migrations Windows server-to-server or server-to-cloud migrations Office builds and moves MDM/MAM + Conditional Access implementation Collaborate with project managers and account teams to provide regular updates and create and update documentation. Function as an escalation point for resolution of project issues. Travel to client sites across NYC and surrounding area for installations, assessments, and hands-on technical work (estimated 50–75%). Communicate clearly with clients, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.
Requirements
- 3-5+ years IT MSP experience including a minimum of 2+ years of hands-on project engineering experience (mandatory).
- Strong experience implementing IT infrastructure projects from design through completion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD, and common MSP toolsets (RMM, PSA)
- Solid understanding of CCNA-level networking
- Ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong aptitude for time and note entry within a PSA.
- Understanding of predictive and hybrid project methodologies, including roles, responsibilities, and work breakdown structure (WBS)
- Located in or near New York City and able to comfortably travel to client sites as required
Nice To Haves
- Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, PMI).
- Specific experience with: Microsoft Azure, 365, and SharePoint Meraki Networking Windows Server Modern security principals – MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, MDM, MAM ConnectWise PSA
