The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a highly trained, field-based scientific expert who engages healthcare professionals to exchange clinical, scientific, and research knowledge. Operating within regulatory and corporate guidelines, the MSL builds and maintains scientific relationships and collaborations with the medical and scientific community at local, regional, and national levels, including healthcare professionals, professional societies, and healthcare organizations. This role provides educational, scientific, and research support for Sobi’s rare disease portfolio within the hematology franchise. The position supports the Northern California territory; candidates may reside anywhere within the broader assigned territory described as Nevada, Arizona, and Northern California (San Jose and north). Frequent ground and/or air travel is required, with an estimated 60% or more of time away from the remote home office. The MSL serves as the primary field-based Medical Affairs contact in the territory, exchanges scientific information with thought leaders and healthcare professionals, reports field intelligence, supports clinical development and operations, participates in advisory boards, delivers training, represents Sobi at medical conferences, and serves as a cross-functional scientific resource. The role requires advanced, current knowledge of relevant studies, compounds, and disease states, as well as excellence in territory management and contribution to the broader MSL organization.
