About The Position

The MS Therapist - Registered Intern is responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic services to clients under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role involves assisting clients with mental health issues by using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support their emotional and psychological well-being. The intern will gain valuable experience in a clinical setting, contributing to the overall mission of the center to improve the lives of individuals and families through compassionate care and support.

Requirements

Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Current registration as an intern with the appropriate state licensing board.
Minimum of 1-2 years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting.
Experience in providing individual and group therapy sessions.
Familiarity with case management and treatment planning.
Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
Strong understanding of mental health disorders and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to build rapport and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients.
Proficient in maintaining detailed and accurate client records.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.

Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans for clients.
Provide individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
