About The Position

This role is for an MS SQL DBA located in Raleigh, NC, with a contract duration of 4+ months. The position is on-site at the North Hills office. The individual will work collaboratively with two other DBAs and various IT teams, including devops, operations, and engineering, to manage SQL servers in the cloud and Windows servers. Responsibilities include backup, restoration/recovery, database manipulation, and providing recommendations to other teams on issue classification and feedback to operations and development teams. The role may require after-hours support one to two times per quarter.

Requirements

• 4+ years of MS SQL DBA experience
• Experience with Cloud (AWS or Azure)
• Performance tuning
• Good with backup and recovery
• Local to Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Apex, NC and ready to relocate to Raleigh, NC

Nice To Haves

• Ability to work in a SaaS environment
• Experience interacting with different teams (devops, operations, engineering, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Work with two other DBAs and a variety of IT teams/members of the operational staff to help with issues on the front line.
• Be collaborative and accessible.
• Work on SQL servers in the cloud and Windows servers.
• Perform backup, restoration/recovery, and manipulation of databases.
• Move databases around in the environments.
• Make recommendations to other teams on how to classify specific issues.
• Provide feedback to the operations and development teams.
• After hours support one-two times per quarter.
