About The Position

The Bureau of Credentialing Services is looking for a self-motivated MS Compliance Officer II to continue the Department's mandate in maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in delivery of service. This position serves as the department liaison to meet personally meet with personnel representing federal, governmental, city, and county law enforcement agencies for the purpose of carrying out the requirements of the Florida Statutes pertaining to processing and issuance of driver licenses and motor vehicle registrations. Duties and responsibilities of this position include reviewing, developing, and assisting in amending procedures; training other employees; reviewing, processing and issuing motor vehicle registrations in the Florida Real-Time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS) and entering payments in the Cash Receipt System. In addition, this position will be responsible for communication and responding to requests from all law enforcement agencies to prepare and process motor vehicle registrations; maintaining and securing highly confidential files; examining and processing requests for decals and license plates; and preparing, balancing, and reconciling financial transactions to include ledgers and journals. Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently both orally and in writing.
  • Skill in proofreading, editing, and verifying data for accuracy.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to apply, state motor vehicle and driver laws related to driver license and registrations and DHSMV operations, policies, and procedures.

  • Ability to use Florida Real-Time Vehicle Information System (FRVIS), Online Registration and Identity Operating Network (ORION), the Cash Receipt System (CRS), and Driver and Vehicle Information Database (DAVID).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • The position you are applying for is subject to a Level 2 background and CJIS security clearance, to include fingerprinting as a condition of employment pursuant to Chapter 110.1127, 435 and 943, Florida Statutes.
  • As an applicant for positions requiring CJIS security clearance, you are required to disclose criminal records that have been sealed or expunged.
  • All selected applicants are required to provide identification and either proof of U.S. citizenship or proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI.
  • In accordance with Section 110.1128, Florida Statutes, male applicants who were required to register with the Selective Service System must provide proof of registration or documentation verifying exemption status during the hiring process.
