About The Position
The Middle School Assistant Cross Country Coach is responsible for maintaining a focus on the team’s development and continuous improvement throughout the season, by directing student athletes at practice, during transportation, at other schools or other locations. The coach is a primary role model of coaching for our staff, parents, community and students and promotes and projects leadership qualities for all student-athletes.
Requirements
- Knowledge of coaching cross country
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School graduate
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of coaching experience
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning
- Quality communication skills
- Basic knowledge of first aid
Responsibilities
- Directing student athletes at practice, during transportation, at other schools or other locations.
- Acting as a primary role model of coaching for staff, parents, community, and students.
- Promoting and projecting leadership qualities for all student-athletes.
