About The Position

As our MS 365 Workplace Experience Manager, you will support business adoption of collaboration tooling, and ensure alignment with organizational security and compliance objectives through tight coordination with all EDT teams (Business Partner, Infrastructure, Vendor Management, Compliance, Security, etc.) You are accountable for defining and managing the governance framework, license strategy, and tooling access for the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (including Copilot, Teams, and related modules). This is a hybrid role and is defined as the ability to go into the office to attend meetings and trainings as needed which will be at least 4 days per month.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or in lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of professional work experience will be considered.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience is needed to be a qualified applicant.
  • 4+ years of experience with enterprise change management processes and techniques.
  • 2+ years of experience defining and executing governance frameworks for Microsoft 365 (or similar collaboration suites), including licensing optimization, access models, tenant management
  • 2+ years of experience with governance controls for collaboration platforms (RBAC, DLP, retention, site lifecycle)
  • 2+ years of experience working with identity and access management (IAM), Azure AD, conditional access, and automation of license provisioning
  • 1+ year of experience with cloud collaboration services, SaaS licensing models.
  • 1+ year of experience in vendor license negotiations, collaboration tooling contracts (e.g., Microsoft, Copilot, enterprise add-ons)

Responsibilities

  • Define and Maintain O365 Governance & Licensing Strategy: Establish and update the multi-year Microsoft 365 governance plan aligned with enterprise policy, cost efficiency, and collaboration goals
  • Lead license planning and budgeting for Microsoft 365, Copilot, and associated add-on tools; optimize spend and licensing tiers
  • Manage Tooling Access, Usage & Compliance: Develop and operate the access-and-entitlement framework for Microsoft 365 services, ensuring role-based access control (RBAC), least privilege principles, and regular reviews
  • Drive governance of Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and collaboration tools including naming conventions, group/site provisioning, guest access, retention policies, data residency, and shadow-IT prevention
  • Monitor usage, adoption, and compliance metrics; identify license waste, orphaned groups/sites, and enforce cleanup and cost controls
  • Create license retention and recertification policies.
  • Be the advocate for Customer Experience, ensuring all new features are tested for various use scenarios.
  • Work with the Operations team to determine when features should be added/deleted as applicable, and that Change Management
  • Ensure Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management: Collaborate with business owners, IT operations, security, legal/compliance, and HR to ensure governance policies are embedded in collaboration tooling rollout and use
  • Partner with (Insert name of Angela’s team) and Corporate Communications to create training programs and communication plans to build awareness of governance requirements and promote efficient use of Microsoft 365 tools
  • Collaborate with vendor relationship team for negotiations: Assist the relationships team with Microsoft and third-party collaboration tooling vendors to negotiate licensing terms, upgrades, and service change
  • Set and monitor vendor performance metrics (cost, adoption, support responsiveness, ROI) and escalate when necessary
