About The Position

Insight Medical Imaging is a leading provider of diagnostic imaging services with over 650 employees and 20 locations in Edmonton, surrounding regions, and Fort McMurray. They are seeking a casual MRT/CLXT to join their dynamic and expanding team. This position involves rotation across 16 locations in Edmonton and the surrounding area. Insight Medical Imaging emphasizes meaningful connections with patients, physicians, and employees, aiming to make patients feel comfortable during potentially unknown and scary situations, build relationships with physicians for timely and accurate diagnoses, and create an approachable environment for employees that encourages professional development and growth.

Requirements

MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing CAMRT, ACMDTT or ACCLXT.
Proficient computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.
Clinical competency in medical radiography.
Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices.

Nice To Haves

Bone Density and Pain Management trained preferred.
Medication preparation certificate is preferred.
CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians.
Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment.
Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control.
Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties.
Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM.
Willingness to cross train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG’s.
