About The Position

Insight is currently seeking an MRT/CLXT to join the dynamic and expanding team at our Unity Square clinic. This is a full-time position on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. We connect in a meaningful way with our patients, physicians, and employees. With over 650 employees and 20 locations, Insight provides services in Edmonton and surrounding regions, as well as in Fort McMurray.

Requirements

• Committed to excellence in patient care, quality control and adherence to diagnostic imaging standards.
• Clinical competency in medical radiography.
• Comprehensive knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and practices.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• MRT(R)/CLXT designation in good standing CAMRT, ACMDTT or ACCLXT.

Nice To Haves

• Bone Density and Pain Management trained preferred.
• Medication preparation certificate is preferred.
• CPR Standard First aid certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures as set forth by the Radiologists and our referring Physicians.
• Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining safety and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area, with particular attention to radiation safety and infection control.
• Knowledge of computer systems and all DI office duties.
• Assist in the training of new staff and students, as requested by MGM.
• Willingness to cross train in BD, Fluoroscopy and ECG’s.
