About The Position
Sentinel Offender Services has been providing community-based, offender-funded monitoring services across North America for over 30 years. We collaborate with law enforcement, community corrections agencies, and the court system to deliver customized offender management solutions aimed at reducing recidivism and enhancing reentry success. Our solutions integrate electronic monitoring technology, alcohol and substance abuse testing, and community-based offender management programs. Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a leading cognitive-behavioral program designed for criminal justice offenders, focusing on addressing beliefs and reasoning. It is a structured, step-by-step group counseling approach for clients who have been resistant to other treatments. The program aims to modify clients' thinking patterns and their judgment of right and wrong, viewing the treatment of resistant populations as a challenge of low moral reasoning.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass criminal background investigation, credit report and drug screening.
- Minimum 21 years of age and pass the Department’s fingerprinting process for jail clearance.
- Must complete MRT training course and pass certification test

Responsibilities
- Responsible for participant’s intake assessment, orientation
- Effectively communicates the program rules, regulations, requirements, and treatment plans.
- Provides face-to-face services to participants.
- Develop classroom MRT plans.
- Facilitate classes inside of the jail as well as classrooms outside of the locked facility.
- Develop and monitor the participants' progress through all phases of the program.
- Make appropriate referrals to outside agencies as necessary
- Maintain progress notes in participant files
- If applicable, administer required drug testing and or breathalyzer testing
- Advise Department of participants that are not in compliance with their program requirements.
- Maintain an auditable case file for all participants under their management
