About The Position

The MRP Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in our manufacturing operations, ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support production, inventory objectives, and customer commitments. This position oversees materials planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and purchasing coordination to maintain efficient operations and on-time delivery performance. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll work closely with manufacturing, sales, operations, and supply chain teams while leading the materials planning function and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements

  • 2 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in materials planning, inventory management, MRP, or supply chain management.
  • Experience working with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, operations, inventory management, or supply chain environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
  • APICS CPIM certification, or willingness to obtain certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing MRP outputs and managing production schedules to support customer delivery commitments.
  • Coordinating with manufacturing, sales, and the MRP Buyer to ensure raw material availability and production continuity.
  • Overseeing inventory control processes, including cycle counts, inventory accuracy, and inventory optimization efforts.
  • Maintaining planning data and balancing production requirements against available capacity.
  • Collaborating with sales and operations teams to establish inventory strategies and safety stock levels.
  • Troubleshooting system, inventory, shipping, and transactional issues that impact operations.
  • Coordinating intercompany material transfers and supporting cross-functional projects.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate production reporting within the ERP system.
  • Supervising and developing planning personnel through training, coaching, performance management, and day-to-day leadership.
