About The Position

Sandridge Crafted Foods is looking for an experienced MRO Purchasing & Inventory Supervisor to lead and continuously improve the purchasing, inventory, storeroom, vendor, and CMMS processes that support our Maintenance operation. This is not simply a purchasing or inventory position. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, identifies problems before they impact production, builds better processes, develops employees, and follows issues through to resolution. Requirements

  • 5–7 years of MRO Buyer experience that includes inventory responsibility or 7–10 years of comparable MRO purchasing and inventory management experience
  • Experience in MRO purchasing, industrial purchasing, maintenance inventory, storeroom management, or a closely related field
  • Strong vendor sourcing and relationship-management skills
  • Experience analyzing purchasing, inventory, and cost data
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to develop procedures and standardized processes
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn CMMS and ERP systems
  • Ability to independently prioritize multiple competing needs
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership

Nice To Haves

  • Industrial maintenance or manufacturing MRO experience
  • Maintenance CMMS experience
  • SAP or similar ERP experience
  • Cycle counting and inventory optimization
  • Industrial supplier negotiation
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, controls, and industrial maintenance parts
  • KPI, reporting, or cost-reduction experience
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or employee-development experience

Responsibilities

  • Purchase maintenance parts, supplies, materials, and services
  • Source mechanical, electrical, controls, and general industrial maintenance components
  • Compare suppliers, pricing, availability, and lead times
  • Negotiate pricing and purchasing terms when appropriate
  • Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Track backorders, critical parts, and material shortages that could impact production
  • Research hard-to-find, obsolete, or discontinued components
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality or reliability
  • Maintain accurate MRO inventory and storeroom records
  • Establish and manage minimum/maximum levels and reorder points
  • Own cycle-counting and inventory accuracy processes
  • Identify excess, duplicate, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory
  • Partner with Maintenance to identify and stock critical spare parts
  • Improve storeroom organization, labeling, accessibility, and overall efficiency
  • Ensure materials are accurately received, stored, issued, and tracked
  • Maintain accurate part numbers, manufacturers, suppliers, pricing, locations, and inventory information
  • Improve CMMS data quality and system utilization
  • Develop reports and metrics around inventory, purchasing, costs, and trends
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and system functionality
  • Develop SOPs for purchasing, receiving, issuing, cycle counting, and inventory management
  • Train and support Maintenance employees on consistent CMMS practices
  • Provide daily direction and support to the MRO/storeroom team
  • Coach and develop employees
  • Establish clear expectations and accountability
  • Cross-train team members
  • Build stronger processes and capabilities within the MRO function
  • Partner closely with Maintenance, Operations, Purchasing, Accounting, and Finance
