About The Position

The MRO and Indirect Spend Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of maintenance, repair, and operating supplies (MRO) to support manufacturing operations. This role minimizes downtime by ensuring part availability while driving cost-saving initiatives across indirect spending categories. As well as supporting all indirect spend functions of each Rangen Group site.

Requirements

3-5+ years of experience in procurement, specifically in MRO or indirect spending within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Excel (data analysis).
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Strong understanding of indirect sourcing functions, manufacturing processes and maintenance requirements.
Advanced analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze data and problem-solve
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, etc.)

Responsibilities

Develop and execute category strategies for MRO items (spare parts, fasteners, lubricants, PPE) and indirect services (facility maintenance, utilities, safety) to maximize value.
Identify, qualify, and manage key suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews (on-time delivery, quality, cost).
Collaborate with maintenance teams to establish optimal inventory levels, including setting min/max thresholds for critical spares to prevent production stops.
Manage the "order-to-pay" cycle, including creating purchase orders in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), resolving invoice discrepancies, and facilitating urgent procurement requests.
Analyze spend data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement TCO-based evaluations rather than focusing solely on unit price.
Ensure adherence to company purchasing policies, safety standards (PPE), and environmental regulations.
