About The Position

The MRO Buyer will maintain close coordination with Suppliers, Production Planning, Warehouse, R&D and Sales/Marketing to ensure adequate quantities of raw materials are available to meet the production schedule while maintaining the lowest possible cost and inventories. This role will aggressively execute OE cost reductions by soliciting improvements to packaging materials and seek improvement of cash flow through negotiating terms of payment. The buyer will keep abreast of all price changes, market conditions, availability and lead times of materials that affect prices and provide useful information for short term and long-term forecasting. They will negotiate and set up purchase agreements for the purchase and delivery of office supplies. The position also involves continually improving supply chain efficiency through the APS program, SMI, and E-commerce, ensuring all purchasing activities are carried out efficiently and in a manner consistent with the "Ruiz Way", maintaining thorough knowledge of materials required by RFP, and fostering good working relationships with other departments, personnel, and the supplier community.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• 5 years purchasing experience with background in Inventory Management, Warehousing, Manufacturing, and food proceeding.
• Proficiency at Microsoft Word and Excel (MUST PASS EXCEL TEST)
• Accurate typing
• Exceptional verbal and written skills
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills
• Excellent math and analytical skills
• Ability to function in a highly paced environment and with others
