About The Position

Label and Graphics Materials, a division of Avery Dennison, has an immediate opening for an action oriented professional to fulfill the role of MRO Assistant Buyer. The MRO Assistant Buyer supports the MRO Buyer by executing daily procurement activities, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring timely delivery of MRO supplies. This role focuses on the tactical execution of purchasing tasks, invoice processing, and supporting inventory health. The shift for this position will be 8AM - 4PM. The hourly hiring rate for this role is $25.85/hr. Reporting to: Technical/Engineering Manager. Daily operational guidance provided by MRO Buyer.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • 2-3 years experience in a purchasing, administrative, or inventory control role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical components for industrial equipment is desired.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Proficiency in Google Applications (Sheets, Gmail, Docs, Etc)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize accordingly
  • Demonstrated use of ERP/MRP systems
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict adherence to site safety protocols in all purchasing and inventory activities.
  • Process purchase orders and assist in tracking deliveries to ensure timely receipt of MRO supplies.
  • Assists with Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Invoice Reconciliation: Review invoices against purchase orders and receipts to resolve routine match exceptions and ensure accurate billing.
  • Conducts physical inventory cycle counts, monitors stock levels, and flags potential stockouts to the MRO Buyer.
  • Monitors the MRO material sign out process and uses continuous improvement processes to drive sustainable changes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of spare parts storage areas to ensure efficient access and inventory accuracy.
  • Assists with vendor communications regarding shipping status, delivery scheduling, and basic product inquiries.
  • Generate inventory usage reports, maintain vendor contact lists, and document standard MRO processes.
  • Collect data to support continuous improvement projects and routine cost-saving initiatives.
  • Identifies and supports improvement opportunities to MRO related processes and procedures.
