About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a PRN MRI Technologist for Christian Hospital. This role involves patient care, assisting with department workflow, prepping patients for exams, MRI safety screenings, and performing MRI exams. It is an Advanced Modality Technologist position. Christian Hospital has been serving St. Louis and the surrounding metro areas since 1903 and is recognized for its clinical excellence. Northwest HealthCare, located six miles west of Christian, offers various outpatient diagnostic and imaging services, including an MRI with a Siemens 1.5T Magnetom Symphony scanner, known for its bright and open procedure room and same-day service.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in related field

Responsibilities

  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
  • Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
  • Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
  • Patient care, help with workflow of department, prepping patients for exams, MRI safety screenings, performing MRI exams
