Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience in MRI Outpatient setting
  • Service oriented approach, flexible and proactive
  • Must be self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Ability to work in strict compliance with all procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications
  • Ability to excel in team environment
  • Superior attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in MRI
  • Will be required to cover in multiple departments as needed
  • BLS American Heart Association (AHA)
  • At least 1 year of experience on Siemens Scanners

Responsibilities

  • Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders.
  • Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed.
  • Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes.
  • Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies if applicable.
  • Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements.
  • Demonstrates the ability to trouble shoot and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  • Accountable for the ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice. This includes maintaining confidentiality of all work information.
  • Assures the efficient operation of workflow of the department.
  • Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
  • Independently performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols to patients.
  • Follow the policies, procedures, and safety protocols established by the medical director or generated by federal, state and local requirements, and by other oversight or accrediting agencies.
  • Report any medical errors, mishaps, or near misses stemming from any source including but not limited to personnel and equipment performance, to the medical director (and if applicable to the supervising physician).
  • Maintain the current credentials necessary to operate the applicable imaging systems and experience and training set forth in RadSite standards.
