About The Position

Health Images is looking for a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team! We are targeting support for our SouthPark - Littleton Center as well as, several surrounding locations as needed. Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
Current CPR certification
Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Adheres to Envision’s Code of Conduct and Compliance Policies and attends annual Compliance training as set forth by the Company.

Nice To Haves

Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Responsibilities

Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
Transfers images to other locations as needed.
Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
Other duties as assigned.
